Demonstrated Skills Required. (Candidates must meet all to qualify.)
Candidates must be able to:

Proven
ability to follow documented procedures.

Demonstrate
experience dealing with change control procedures.

Demonstrate
experience supporting remote servers.

Participate
in projects dealing with leading edge technology, including installation
and configuration of Windows 2K servers.

Manage
resources.
-
Coordinate
and participate in activities associated with production and test
of Windows 2K servers.
-
Define
and document procedures.
-
Provide
capacity planning analysis and performance tuning for Windows
2K servers.
-
Configure
hardware standardized on Dell equipment. This includes installing
hardware and software, ongoing support of systems, security, distributing
applications and operating system upgrades, and file system configuration.

Document
all efforts completely and accurately.
-
Demonstrate
strong hardware troubleshooting and network diagnostic skills.
-
Know
and understand Windows 2K networking, including TCPIP, DNS, DHCP,
FTP, RRAS, LAN administration, Active Directory Services, group
policy, authentication and identification methods, support tools,
and remote control of other machines on the network.

Implement
various server admin utilities, performing user and group account
setups, permission assignment, resource mapping, and network printing.

Acquire
license agreement and maintenance for all Microsoft software installed
at the Oahu NOC.

Cooperate
with trainers in curriculum development and maintenance.

Document
all activities.
