Network and System Monitor

Basic Demonstrated Skills Required. (Candidates must meet all to qualify.)
Candidates must be able to:

Provide operational support for network and system monitoring to include hardware, software, networks and applications.
Demonstrate knowledge of network monitoring tools and software with exposure to performance measurements.
Demonstrate knowledge of computer system monitoring utilities. The NSM Operator will report regularly to Unix System Administrator and Windows 2000 System Administrator.
Monitor a communications network, ensuring efficient operations with Netmon and Perfmon on Windows 2000 platform.
Monitor network security.
Monitor and manage network memory and storage capacity.
Document and communicate findings of network monitoring, and provide your recommendations.
Learn and understand NMCI Service Level Agreements.
React to system threshold, alarms and direct them to the appropriate people.
