Demonstrated Skills Required. (Candidates must meet all to qualify.)
Candidates must be able to:
-
Control,
maintain, and expand the e-mail capabilities of Oahu Network Operations
Center (NOC) assigned customer base.
-
Provide
e-mail continuity and reliability for the NMCI client base, as
well as NMCI assigned personnel, by installing, updating, and
licensing Microsoft Exchange on Dell servers running Windows 2000
Advanced Server.

Provide
all system administration, support, project management, and development
of Exchange Messaging systems.
-
Provide
daily messaging system administration and support for Microsoft
Windows 2000 Server and Exchange, MS Outlook and Express, Outlook
Web Access (OWA), and Internet mail.
-
Monitor
and maintain all aspects of Windows 2K Server and Exchange operations
as they relate specifically to the Administration and Support
of the Exchange infrastructure. This includes but is not limited
to: Directory Replication, Internet Mail Service, RAS Connector,
Site Connector, X400 Connector, Addressing Maintenance, Message
Transfer Agent, and Exchange Maintenance.

Provide
project management tasks: Research, plan, and implement all Messaging
(Exchange) related projects and collaborations to their fullest
potential in accordance and support of NMCI's business needs,
goals, and objectives.

Bring
all Messaging Systems into compliance with NMCI I/T Standards
and Practices.

Troubleshoot
large-scale e-mail failures.

Provide
technical documentation assistance (curriculum development and
revision) to the training function

Document
and communicate all activities to intra-shift administrators concerning
exchange problems, solutions, and upgrades.

Provide
and maintain Exchange server and client access licensing agreements
with Microsoft.

Provide
system reporting to the Windows 2K Administrator concerning e-mail
problems and solutions.
